The Tao is something that can never be reached. Therefore, nobody can become a taoist master. The only mastery there is is mastery over oneself. Only through mastery over oneself can one achieve mastery over anything else. But certainly not the Tao.
The Tao is not something that can be understood; it is only something that can be experienced. If you don't understand the Tao, you can't have mastery over it. The Tao always has mastery over you.
Except the Tao is not something that dominates. The Tao just is. Like a breeze in the sky, it simply exists. It cannot be thought of. Without identity, it flows. It doesn't exert any effort to be; it just naturally is. It is an inherent existence.
As such, the Tao lets it be. It creates everything by simply letting existence unfold from it.
