The Evolutionary Imperative
There is a larger purpose in life and that purpose is evolution
Humans have a long history of evolution. We were nomads for most of our existence, but eventually, we started growing our food and became sedentary. This completely changed the power dynamics between us and our environment, allowing us to modify our environment rather than be modified by our environment. We turned evolution inside out.
We need to focus on our evolutionary purpose and guide ourselves with this evolutionary imperative.
When we approached the pinnacle of our physical evolution, we lost touch with the inner drive that guides us towards a better life. We reached a point where no other species on Earth ever reached and we didn't quite know what to make of it. Instead of remaining focused on our evolutionary path, we became comfortable, relying more and more on our technology for everything, becoming complacent and detached from life and the planet we live in. We lost our way and our purpose because there's nothing in our genes to guide us through this time in the evolutionary pathway. We need to create it.
First, we need to remember that we are a part of a greater whole, that the ecosystem itself is a larger form of a life. It's only when we understand our place in the evolution of life that we will find our way and gain a deeper understanding of our greater purpose in the history of life and the universe. We need to focus on our evolutionary purpose and guide ourselves with this evolutionary imperative.
The good news is that we didn't completely stopped evolving but, instead, we started evolving in different ways. We developed an entire ecosystem of inorganic organisms, our technology, that is able to evolve at a much faster pace than organic evolution. We also developed systems and organizations that, when used properly and in conjunction with our technology, can be combined to form much larger forms of sentient and sapient life. Creating a healthy sustainable global consciousness, a planetary form of conscious life, is the next step in our evolution and in the evolution of life.
We get back in touch with nature. We have not accepted our position in nature, instead we fight it, claiming to be greater than it because we reached the pinnacle of our physical evolution. But, in reality, we still have physical limitations and we are still limited by our environment, even though we can modify it. As such, we need to gain a deeper knowledge and perspective in order to find our place and harmonize ourselves and our technology with our environment.
Creating a healthy sustainable global consciousness, a planetary form of conscious life, is the next step in our evolution and in the evolution of life.
When we take into consideration what we are capable of and what life needs to continue evolving, we inevitably reach the conclusion that we are in a great position to be the stewards of life and evolution. We are capable of creating far larger forms of life and we are also capable of spreading life throughout the universe, so long as we remain grounded in nature and focused in the evolutionary imperative.
When we live and act from this higher perspective, we are bound to act differently. This is the key to our future.
